It's A Bird! It's A Plane! No, It's Super Mom!

“Super mom” isn't something that I hear often, but when I do, I can't help but disagree. There is no way that between running a house, keeping everyone fed and healthy, and working that I am “super mom”. There are so many more moms out there that deserve that title. I may have to go to weekly therapy appointments, and schedule doctors appointments, and I may have a different lifestyle and parenting journey then most parents, but that doesn't make me “super mom”.

To me a “super mom” is someone who can hold one child on her hip, with another in a football grasp.

“Super mom” is one who makes amazing dinners out of thin air, served with extra love.

“Super mom” can empty the dishwasher in lightning speed, turn around and heal a boo-boo, and make lunches without even flinching.

I'm flattered, really, that someone would think to consider me a “super mom”. It makes me reflect on everything we've been through, where we are now, and where we are headed. It's nice to know that someone thinks I'm doing something right.

I want to hear from you... how do you define a “Super Mom?” Are you a “Super Mom”? Why?
